2016 Toyota Prius

 

Toyota’s model year has featured some completely redesigned vehicles, including the 2016 Toyota Prius Hybrid. The Prius has been redesigned from the ground up. Let’s take a look a the 4th generation Prius.

Exterior

The body was given a sleek new design that sets it part from previous generations. The chassis  was lowered and the stance was widened to help give the Prius a more responsive drive. The Prius also features Bi-LED elements in the headlights, as well as available integrated fog lights and accent lights. The taillights were designed with LED lights as well. The look is finished out with standard 15″ alloy wheels.

 

Interior

The interior was not ignored when the Prius was redesigned. The seats were given some attention as well, they feature deep side bolsters to increase comfort. Toyota added advanced sound deadening techniques to keep those outside road noises out.

A variety of Entune Audio packages are available too, touch screen, with USB ports, audio jacks, CD players and radio are just some of the features available to make the ride more enjoyable.

A 4.2 inch color dual Mutli-Information Display (MID) is standard on the Prius. The MID screens are customizable, allowing the driver to keep an eye on how real time driving data, ECO savings, and how the car is performing.

Keep your eyes on the road with the integrated steering wheel controls. Control audio, MID, and Bluetooth hands free calling all from the steering wheel.

With up to 27.4 cu. ft. of cargo space behind the rear seats bringing what you need for your next adventure is no problem. Need more space?  Not a problem, simply fold down the 60/40 read seats and your cargo space increases up to 65.5 cu. ft. of total cargo space.

Technology

Technology abounds in the all new Prius. The Intelligent Clearance Sonar scans for stationary objects while parking or slowly pulling out of a space. If the system anticipates a collision, it will reduce engine or motor output and an audible alert will sound.

A standard back up camera also helps keep you safe when pulling out of parking spaces or backing up.

The Smart Key System is another great feature of the Prius. You can unlock or lock the door with a touch of the door handle. Get going with the push of the start button and you are on your way .

 

Safety Features

The Prius comes standard with the Star Safety System. This is a bundle of 6 safety features that includes; Vehicle Stability Control, Traction Control, Anti-Lock Brake System, Electrion Brake-Force Distribution, Brake Assist and Smart Stop Technology.
